|
The Klahdra are composed of three different functions: information gatherers, spies and counselors. Information gatherers are Klahdra in training, providing useful local information to counselors; spies are experienced information gatherers, the field operatives, seeking out information that may be difficult or dangerous to acquire, again reporting to the counselors; the counselors are usually in the employ of merchants or the court, providing a key competitive edge vis-à-vis others vying for political, military or economic power.
The Klahdra are organized locally according to the counselor. The counselor determines all hierarchy. A successor is always named should the counselor suffer some unfortunate fate. Some spies ask not be to chosen as counselors, their love of field work proving greater than the prestige that goes along with a permanent position at court or in a guild.
