Proper Name
Kingdom of Dunihk
Ruler
None. Dunihk has been without a ruler since 339 4C. Much of the kingdom is under the control of the Archdaemon Dujino, who has installed minions to rule in those areas. The areas that stand outside Dujino's direct control are remote and pose no threat.

Coat of Arms
The coat of arms for Dunihk is a gold diamond split in two by a blue line. The Archdaemon Dujino's standard, opposing triangles, has been added to the coat of arms below.

Government
Dunihk has been in chaos for much of the last two centuries. As the Archdaemon Dujino conquered the eastern portions of the kingdom, he failed to bring order to those regions. Conquered cities suffered a horrible fate: first a Forgani was placed in charge with orders to use the city to fund and supply the advancing Kaddori army. Once they have extracted all the worth they can, the cities are all but abandoned; only in cases when they show signs of renewal do they receive attention and are beaten down again.
The principality of Borada has been struggling for independence since the early years of the Fourth Cycle. At the end of the Hydra War in 303 4C, Borada was ceded to Laladen for five hundred years in exchange for its support in the Dunihki war against Pestilence. That support was not forthcoming and, as a result, in 312 4C, the Dunihki king declared the treaty in abeyance and attempted to reclaim Borada. This became moot in 339 4C when the king and all possible heirs were killed. Since then, Borada pays tribute to the Laladen king, but operates relatively independently.
The three other counties not held by Dujino have attempted to coordinate their resistance efforts, but usually fail due to the distrust between the Groth D'Nor Dwarves and the Nanegei Elves. Since they have been ineffectual, the Archdaemon has ignored them for the most part.

Trade
The war with Amulon and subsequent internal strife has left Dunihk a shadow of its former self. Trade still occurs because the potential rewards are so great, but barely a third of caravans that leave from one place make it to their destinations; this is due as much to the poor state of the road system as the bandits that prey on the caravans. Trade occurs both by land and sea. Its major trading partners are: Nyslavadd, Laladen and Sherna.

Members of the same caste greet each other with a single kiss on the mouth; members of different castes (except the Invisible) greet each other by opening arms and showing their palms to each other. The Invisible are never greeted by anyone.

Notes
Water is not plentiful in this part of the world, and when there is water it can be less than potable (e.g., Scorpion River). Outside of urban areas, especially in the eastern part of the kingdom, water can be more valuable than gold.
